The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance Evaluation in cooperation with the Department of Pathological analysis, at the College of Science workshop entitled: "The Occupational Safety-Protection of Human and Place." presented by Asst.Inst.Amer Adnan Husen and Asst.Instr.Herer Fares Humoody, with the attendance of teaching staff and the concerned employee.
The workshop aims to enhance awareness of the occupational importance in the laboratory and medical work environment ,with the focus on the preventive procedures to minimize the hazards from chemical materials, gas leakage and the electrical accidents .In addition, its provides on overview of safe handling methods hazardous materials and includes practical training on the use all types of fire extinguishers.
Also,it emphasizes that emergency evacuation plans are necessary for them and provides with the work environment with basic safety means .It concludes with a dialogue sessions to exchange the experiences in implementing professional safety.
