
The Human Rights Unit at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Nahrain University, organizes an awareness symposium on the risks of illegal migration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Migration and Displacement and the Migration Resource Center (MRC).
The symposium aims to enhance students’ humanitarian and social awareness and to highlight the challenges and risks faced by young people when resorting to irregular migration, whether at the psychological, social or legal levels. It also clarifies safe and legal alternatives to migration and emphasizes the importance of making informed decisions based on knowledge.
The session presents awareness lectures delivered by Ms. Naba Sadiq Al-Busaidi, a consultant at the Migration Resource Center, as well as Ms. Noor Hussein and Ms. Banin Saleh Mahdi, representatives of the Ministry of Migration and Displacement. The speakers addresses the risks associated with illegal migration and its psychological, social, and legal consequences, emphasizing the
importance of promoting a culture of safe and responsible migration among young people and strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and relevant government bodies to ensure a safe and aware university environment.
