The College of Business Economics at Al-Nahrain University is organizing the Sustainable Development Festival.

The College of Business Economics at Al-Nahrain University holds the Sustainable Development Festival in the presence of the Representative of the European Union Mission to Iraq and the Dean of the College, Prof.Dr. Nagham Hussein Neama, as part of efforts to promote the concepts of green economy and responsible management within the university community.

The event commenced with welcoming remarks and the Iraqi national anthem, followed by a speech by the Dean, who emphasizes the importance of supporting sustainable development initiatives and empowering students academically and in research, in line with the University’s orientation toward education that responds to societal needs.

The festival featured diverse cultural and artistic segments reflecting intercultural dialogue among nations, including a musical performance that blended Western and Eastern styles. This is followed by an awareness-raising theatrical performance entitled The Bill of Tomorrow, which addresses contemporary economic and environmental challenges and the impact of present-day decisions on future generations.

Students of the College also delivers a presentation titled Pioneers of Sustainability, which includes economic analyses, statistics, and innovative initiatives in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. The program additionally includes screenings of European Union films and a recognition ceremony honoring participating students and supporters of the festival.

The event  is concluded with the opening of an art exhibition featuring student works inspired by the concepts of sustainable development, during which attendees viewed the students’ creative outputs.
