The College of Information Engineering at Al-Nahrain University organized an awareness Symposium entitled Plant a Tree Today to Protect the Life of Tomorrow presented by Dr. Suhad Qasim Naeem. This initiative comes the college’s efforts to promote environmental awareness and encourage initiatives that contribute to environmental protection and sustainability.
The Symposium addresses the importance of tree planting and its role in reducing pollution, improving air quality, and maintaining ecological balance. It also sheds light on the importance of spreading a culture of caring for green spaces and raising awareness about preserving them.
During the symposium, the lecturer emphasizes that planting trees is a vital environmental initiative that contributes to protecting the environment and improving quality of life. She also points out the need to instill a culture of afforestation and turn it into an ongoing community practice that supports building a healthy and sustainable environment.
