Al-Nahrain University carries out a tree-planting campaign and organizes awareness activities on the occasion of National Afforestation Day.

Al-Nahrain University carries out a tree-planting campaign inside the university campus in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the celebration of National Afforestation Day. The campaign was attended by the University President, Prof.Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, and the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof.Dr. Alaa Hussein Abd, along with departments of the university presidency and a number of university colleges.

Dr. Tala Al-Khalil is an Iraqi pharmacist from Basra who became widely known as the “Mother of the Warriors” after founding the Warriors Academy in 2016 to support children with cancer and children with special needs. She has successfully transformed the lives of more than 500 children by providing psychological and educational support, and she was crowned “Top Hope Maker” in the Arab World in 2024.

Lecturers from the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Nahrain University—Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Sahib Zaboon, Dr. Aya Fawzi Talib, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Murtadha—have published a research paper in the International Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Research entitled:

“Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Toward Pharmacovigilance and Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting.”
