The College of Science at Al-Nahrain University organizes its third festival on the occasion of World Mathematics Day, celebrating Pi Day under the slogan : “From Theory to Application… Mathematics Leads Change.”
The festival is attended by a number of students and interested participants, and a variety of scientific and cultural activities aims for highlighting the importance of mathematics and its role in practical applications and keeping pace with scientific development.
The Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Asmaa Al-Waeli, delivers a speech on the occasion, emphasizing the importance of mathematics across various scientific fields and its role in developing academic abilities and enhancing students’ scientific thinking.
The event involves diverse segments, including scientific competitions among students, theatrical performances, and presentations of applied models that demonstrated the connection between theory and practice, as well as honoring the winning students in an interactive atmosphere that fostered creativity and competition.
