
The College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, in cooperation with the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, organizes an informative workshop entitled “European Union Erasmus+ Projects.” The workshop is attended by the President of Al-Karkh University, Prof. Dr. Juma’a Salman Jiyad; the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Iyad Murad Takhakh; as well as a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.
The workshop focuses on introducing the most prominent international programs and grants available to researchers, faculty members, and students.
The workshop reviewes the various Erasmus+ programs and their different tracks, including Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), International Credit Mobility (ICM), Erasmus Mundus, and the Jean Monnet Programme. It also provides an overview of the nature of each program, the opportunities it offers, and the application and participation procedures, in addition to funding opportunities provided by German institutions, particularly the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Research Foundation (DFG).
The workshop also addresses the Horizon Europe Programme and the opportunities it offers for participation in research projects and international collaboration. It emphasizes the importance of following open calls and making use of international grants and programs to support scientific research and academic exchange, while expanding opportunities for cooperation with international universities and research institutions.
