Under the sponsorship of the Dean of Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein, a symposium was held about artificial intelligence and its applications. This symposium aims to explain the definition and history of the emergence and use of artificial intelligence.
Under the auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Hussein Al-Shahristani with the supervision of the President of AL-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Nabil Kathim Abdul-Sahib, and under the slogan "Medicine Prospers & Terrorism Defeated" the Dean of AL-Nahrain College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein, headed the Ninth Scientific Conference which was held at Al-Nahrain college of Medicine 21-22/12/2015.
In order to promote scientific and cultural relationships with international universities, the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University has partnered with their counterparts at the School of Architecture at the University of Maryland in metropolitan Washington D.C in the United States to form a unique international design studio sponsored by global architectural firm, Gensler. The architecture students at Al-Nahrain University will design a project in Washington D.C. while University of Maryland architecture students will design a project in a similar site in Baghdad.
