An online meeting is held between Al-Nahrain University and Petra University ,during which it is agreed to establish a joint Architectural and Urban Design Studio under title Post War Cities -Redesigning a Part of Resilient Gaza City within the framework of developing scientific and academic cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two universities.
The meeting discuss the opportunities for research cooperation and the development of the joint educational programs which enhance the role of architecture and urban design in improving community life. It also emphasized support for the resilience of Gaza and the rejection of forced displacement plans shedding light on the humanitarian challenges imposed by wars and their effects on cities
The studio is to be launched in the 2025-2026 academic year eon an online format an in two stages:The first stage includes holding regular meeting to collect information , identify the international partners and project evaluators , and select the site in Gaza.The second stage involves redesigning the projects and presenting them.
within the academic framework which enhance the scientific cooperation between the two universities.
